  Dear Potential Employer:

I would like to recommend myself for a digital design / webpage development position in your firm. I am interested in work that will give me a chance to gain experience and broaden my knowledge. Specifically I can work in these areas: web design, html coding, graphic design, computer prepress, photography and video. I am most interested in developing material for the Internet and this is also my primary skills focus.

I have been working with computers for over six years and am an intense learner. I love the field of visual communication and am dedicated to my work. For the past four years I have been freelancing for several businesses as a web and print designer. I have had very good relationships with my clients, and all of them were very enthusiastic about the work I did for them. These opportunities have given me experience in various disciplines. I am very adaptable to changing situations and will strive for the best in anything I do. My computer skills are also an asset. I have broad knowledge of computer hardware and software, and I am often turned to by clients to troubleshoot their systems. I have used Adobe Photoshop 5.5, PageMaker 6.5, Illustrator 8, Macromedia Flash 4, FireWorks 3, Dreamweaver 3, and other professional software a great deal, and know it extensively (see my résumé for more detailed info). I have found that I learn new software extremely quickly even while using it. I can also hand code HTML and know a little Javascript. I know that I would be competent and worthwhile as an employee.

My skills range is rather broad and I can be of use in any of areas I have mentioned. Please, if you think you have need of a young, but fast learning, capable, and dedicated person, contact me without any reservations. I am willing to intern as well, if the company is right.

Sincerely,
